RT505 - Melamine Glass Tube

RT505 has good electrical properties under humid conditions and has excellent arc resistance. Typical applications include fuse tubes and naval switchboard insulation. RT505 also complies with MIL-I-24768/8, Type GMG and ASTM D709 Type IV Grade G-5.

RT505 (NEMA G-5) is composed of a medium weight glass reinforcement combined with a melamine resin system. It meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/8, Type GMG. RT505 is designed for the presence of arc and flame in electrical applications. It is an environmentally sensitive product, and should not be used in areas of high humidity. It is suitable for rings, collars, inserts, spacers, bushings, insulators, and fuse casings.
