NP510AB

NP510AB prepreg is composed of woven glass fabric impregnated with a brominated epoxy resin (Tg = 130°C). It is designed to provide electrical insulation in high humidity environments. This prepreg product offers consistent quality and good electrical properties. With proper cure, the finished product is capable of being listed with Underwriters Laboratories to the UL 94 V-0 flammability classification. It also offers NEMA grade FR-4 properties when pressed into a composite. Possible applications include lapping carriers, disk and microelectronics polishing, and molded shapes in various industries.

NP130B

NP130B prepreg is a combination of a woven glass fabric combined with a flame retardant epoxy resin system. It can be molded into a composite with all of the excellent physical and electrical properties of NEMA Grade FR-4, in the sheet form. NP130B is an electrical and mechanical prepreg and is suitable for terminal boards, mechanical and electrical parts up to 130°C, and in high humidity applications.

NP509FB

NP509FB is composed of a fine-weave woven glass fabric and an electrical grade of melamine resin. Featuring high arc resistance and structural strength, this very hard machining grade also offers flame and arc resistance and excellent electrical properties. The product is suitable for industrial grade fuse bodies and other parts requiring arc and flame resistance.

NP342B

NP342B is composed of a medium-weight canvas combined with a phenolic resin system. This material offers better machining properties than grade C and lower cost than grade L offerings. This electro-mechanical grade is suitable for gears, terminal boards, and machined parts.

NP310EB

NP310EB prepreg is a semi-cured material that combines a medium-weave, cotton fabric substrate with an electrical grade phenolic resin system. In b-stage form, the material is partially cured to allow for final curing in the customer's application. The resulting part is easy to finish using standard wood or metal working tools, operates with less noise than metals in bearing and bushing applications, and is virtually non-abrasive in wear applications. It is suitable for use in explosion-proof environments. NP310B is used to make molded gears, pulleys, rollers, and guides, as well as electrically insulated parts such as control boards or transformer bases, for small dry type transformers.

NP310B

NP310B prepreg is a standard canvas grade that provides good mechanical properties and better impact strength than that offered by phenolic paper grades. This mechanical grade is suitable for gears, pinions, spacers, pulleys, and other structural applications.

It is designed for electrical insulating applications, and this prepreg is used in molded switch panel boards, relay and switch bases, breaker arms, and barriers.

RM326

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a fine weave (linen) cotton fabric impregnated with an epoxy resin system. It has low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability and chemical resistance. Typical uses include bearing retainers and parts that require excellent machining characteristics.

RSGFR4

RSGFR4 (Sheet Ground Rod) is produced from epoxy fiberglass laminate sheets that conform to ANSI/NEMA FR-4 standards. Sheet Ground Rods are turned from bars of material from already cured sheets. When looking at a cross section, laminations are parallel. Generally, properties of sheet ground rods conform to the grade of sheet stock from which they are cut. In comparison to Rolled and Molded Rods which are produced from prepreg that has been wound around a mandrel, placed in cylindrical molds, mandrel removed and then cured under high temperature and pressure. There is no industry standard for sheet ground rods. If you require rods to an industry standard, please consider our line of rolled and molded rods.

RM271

Rolled and molded rods made from a glass fabric with a high temperature epoxy resin system. RM271 is used in applications requiring low moisture absorption.

RM511A

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a glass fabric with a high temperature epoxy resin system. G-11 rods are not recognized by NEMA; however, they are recognized by the IEC Standard 61212; grade EP-GC-41. RM511A has equivalent electrical properties to G-10 rods, but with higher mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. Electrical properties are maintained in high humidity conditions. RM511A is not flame resistant. RM511A is certifiable to IEC 61212-3-3 EP GC 41.

RM500A

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a glass fabric with a non-brominated epoxy resin system. RM500A combines excellent electrical characteristics with very good physical properties. Electrical properties maintained in high humidity conditions. RM500A is not flame resistant. Material meets NEMA G-10. For a high temperature version of this rod please see RM511A.

RM130

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a glass fabric with a flame retardant resin system. RM130 combines excellent electrical characteristics with superior physical properties at normal operating temperatures. Electrical properties maintained in high humidity conditions. RM130 meets NEMA FR-4, but with elevated temperature performance. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

RM329

RSGCE

RSGCE rods are produced from phenolic canvas laminate sheets that conform to ANSI/NEMA CE standards.

RM320H

Being a heat treated version of RM320, RM320H Rolled and Molded Rods are made from a fine weave (linen) cotton fabric combined with a phenolic resin system. RM320H is used for electrical and mechanical applications.

RM320

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a fine weave (linen) cotton fabric combined with a phenolic resin system. RM320 is used for electrical and mechanical applications, meeting NEMA L requirements. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

RM315

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a plain weave, medium weight cotton fabric combined with a phenolic resin system to which graphite power has been added as a solid lubricant. RM315 is used for mechanical applications only, and should not be used in electrical applications. The applications for RM315 include bushings, bearings and push rods where external lubrication can not or is not provided.

RM310E

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a plain weave, medium weight cotton fabric combined with a phenolic resin system. RM310E is used for mechanical and electrical applications, meeting NEMA Grade CE requirements. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

RM310

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a plain weave, medium weight cotton fabric combined with a phenolic resin system. RM310 is used for mechanical applications, meeting NEMA C requirements. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

RM324

Rolled and Molded Rod, RM324 is a fine weave cotton fabric which has been bleached to remove impurities, and a modified phenolic resin with powdered PTFE added for lubrication. It has low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. RM324 provides excellent machining characteristics.

RM504

Rolled and Molded Rods made from a woven fiber-glass cloth combined with a phenolic resin system. RM504 is used for mechanical applications and electrical applications, at low voltages. It has very good thermal resistance and ablative properties. It can and is used as a substitute for silicon glass materials in many applications. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

RM630

Rolled and Molded Rods are made from an alpha paper impregnated with an electrical grade of phenolic resin. RM630 is used for electrical and mechanical applications, meeting NEMA XXX requirements. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

RM629

GSFR4A

GSFR4A is constructed from a woven glass fabric with an epoxy resin binder. The epoxy resin system is flame retardant and typically contains bromine on the epoxy resin backbone. GSFR4A exhibits extremely high mechanical strength (flexural, impact, and bonding) at room temperature and has good dielectric loss and electric strength properties under both dry and humid conditions. The manufactures of GSFR4A has informed Norplex-Micarta that the product meets NEMA FR-4, MIL-I-24768/27 and ASTM D 709 Type FR-4.

NP510WR

NP510WR is constructed from a 16 oz. woven roving glass fabric combined with an epoxy resin system. NP510WR is a high strength FR-4 type material providing superior flexural and tensile properties over standard FR-4 materials. Because of the construction of NP510WR it is offered in thicknesses of 0.188" and thicker. NP510WR meets the requirements NEMA FR-4, ASTM D709 Type IV Grade FR-4 and MIL-I-24768/27 GEE-F with exception to relative permittivity.

GSG11

GSG11 is constructed from a woven glass fabric with an epoxy resin binder. The epoxy resin system is not flame retardant but has greater temperature resistance than G-10.

GSG10

GSG10 is constructed from a woven glass fabric with an epoxy resin binder. This grade is not manufactured for a brominated epoxy resin and is not flame-retardant.

MC511WR

MC511WR is a woven roving glass fabric combined with a high temperature epoxy resin system. MC511WR maintains high mechanical, electrical and physical properties at elevated temperatures. MC511WR meets IEC 60893-3-2 EP GC 205.

GSFR4

GSFR4 is constructed from a woven glass fabric with an epoxy resin binder. The epoxy resin system is flame retardant and typically contains bromine on the epoxy resin backbone. GSFR4 exhibits extremely high mechanical strength (flexural, impact, and bonding) at room temperature and has good dielectric loss and electric strength properties under both dry and humid conditions. NP513FR

NP513FR is a flame retardant material that has high mechanical strengths, flexural and impact at room temperature. It also has good dielectric loss and electric strength properties. NP513FR also complies with MIL-I-24768/28, Type GEB-F and ASTM D709 Type IV Grade FR-5. Available 0.500" and above.

NP502A

NP502A is a composite material of woven glass fabric and a brominated epoxy resin system. It is engineered to provide ASTM D709 Type IV FR-4 properties.

NP506A

A composite material of woven glass fabric and a brominated epoxy resin system. It is engineered to provide NEMA grade and FR-4 properties.

KHS900G

NP575

NP575 is a woven glass fabric combined with a high temperature epoxy resin. It is engineered to provide superior characteristics at elevated temperatures, making it an ideal material for retaining ring insulation.

NP211

NP211 is a plain weave fiberglass combined with high temperature epoxy resin system. NP211 has excellent mechanical strength and is designed specifically to tolerate hot and wet conditions found in the oil and gas exploration and production operating environment.

NP572

NP572 is a high strength, medium weave glass epoxy laminate that retains a minimum of 50 percent of its room temperature flexural strength when tested at 150ºC and its Tg is guaranteed to be 180°C or greater. Typical applications include electrical equipment subjected to elevated temperatures. NP572 is certifiable to IEC 60216-3, IEEE STD 98-2002 and ASTM D2304 for Class H insulation in electrical devices. NP572 is also certifiable to MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB.

NP512

High flexural, impact and tensile strengths, and very high flexural modulus. It is constructed of glass fabric impregnated with an epoxy resin system. NP512 is engineered to provide better physical properties than NEMA FR-4, and be more dimensionally stable than standard NP510A. Applications for this material are where enhanced flexural modulus and physical strength are desired.

NP511EM

NP511EM is constructed of a woven glass fabric combined with a high temperature, easy machining epoxy resin. It has excellent mechanical strength and electrical properties at elevated temperatures. The continuous operating temperature is 190°C, in mechanical applications. This material meets NEMA G-11 and MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB.

NP511

NP511 consists of a woven glass fabric combined with high temperature epoxy resin system. NP511 has excellent mechanical strength and electrical properties from cryogenic to elevated temperatures. Continuous operating temperature is 175°C. This material meets NEMA G-11, MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB and IEC-60893-3-2 EP GC 203.

NP510A

NP510A is a woven glass fabric composite combined with epoxy resin system. It is engineered to provide NEMA grade FR-4 properties. This material contains bromine on the epoxy resin backbone. NP510A is certifiable to MIL-I-24768/27, Type GEE-F.

NP500CR

NP500CR (commonly referred to as G10 CR) consists of a glass fabric with an epoxy resin system resulting in excellent electrical characteristics and superior physical properties at cryogenic temperatures (-270 °C to 135 °C operating temperature range). Previously designated as Westinghouse/International Paper Micarta Cryogenic Grade 56 G12, it has low thermal conductivity and utilizes chemistry specifically designed for cryogenic applications.

NP500A

NP500A is constructed of a woven glass fabric combined with easy-machining, non-brominated epoxy resin. It is engineered to provide NEMA grade G-10 properties, but is easier to machine and more cost effective in many applications. Applications for NP500A include; low temperature thermal insulation, structural applications and various other mechanical, and electrical applications at low to moderately high temperatures. NP500A meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-24768/2.

NP130HF

NP130HF is a woven glass fabric composite combined with epoxy resin system, which is engineered to provide better physical properties than standard NEMA FR-4. It is significantly more dimensionally stable than NP130 or NP510A because of its low resin content. The main application for NP130HF is for “bed-of-nails” probe boards used for printed circuit board testing, and other structural applications. Certification to IEC-60893-3-2 EP GC 202

NP130

MC511SN

MC511SN, StatNot™, is a static dissipative epoxy, woven glass based material with excellent control of the static dissipative properties. This material is used where static dissipation is required from surfaces to surface of the composite, in the x, y and z directions.

MC511FR

MC511FR is a high strength, medium weave glass epoxy laminate that retains a minimum of 50 percent of its room temperature flexural strength when tested at 150ºC. Typical applications include structural applications when used in elevated temperatures. MC511FR also complies with MIL-I-24768/28, Type GEB-F. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

MC511AF

MC511AF is a high strength, medium weave glass epoxy laminate that retains a minimum of 50 percent of its room temperature flexural strength when tested at 150ºC. Typical applications include insulation in power generation equipment and other structural applications when used in elevated temperatures. MC511AF is certifiable to MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB.

MC511A

MC511A is a high strength, glass epoxy laminate that is specially formulated to meet power generation producer’s exacting standards where higher strength at elevated temperatures are required. MC511A is certifiable to MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB, IEC-60893-3-2 EP GC 203 and is halogen free to meet the European restrictions.

NP643

NP643 is constructed from an electrical grade kraft paper and a high temperature specially modified epoxy resin system. It is designed to be used in tap changers, coil support plates and terminal panels for transformers and their accessories.

NP613

NP613 is constructed from electrical grade of kraft paper and a specially modified epoxy resin system. It is designed to be used in tap changers, coil support plates and terminal panels for transformers and their accessories.

NP193E

NP329

Bleached linen with melamine resin system. NP329 provides better arc resistance than NP320E. Also, resistant to ammonia based refrigerants. Hard, durable material should be heated to punch, but machines very well with standard machining equipment. NP329 meets UL94, HB.

NP509

Woven glass fabric, melamine resin laminate. NP509 is very hard, flame resistant, machining grade with excellent electrical properties in high humidity conditions. NP509 has high physical strength and excellent arc resistance. Meets MIL-I-24768/1 type GME, MIL-I-24768/8 type GMG and IEC 60893-3-3-MF GC 201.

ES4

ES4 is a decorative melamine paper sheet which has been discontinued. Please contact technology@norplex.com to inquire about other materials that may work in your application.

ES3

ES3 consists of a black phenolic paper core and two colored decorative surfaces impregnated with melamine resin. The three-ply, high performance material comes in a standard sheet size of 36 inches ± 1.00 x 39 inches ± 1.00, with standard thicknesses of 1/16, 3/32, and 1/8 inch. Standard finish options are polished, or P (highly polished and shiny), or LS (non-brushed and dull).

ES2

ES2 consists of three internal layers (two colored decorative surfaces, two white sub-cores just below the surfaces, and a black core centered in the thermoset composite material). ES-2 is a five-ply material, which comes in a standard sheet size of 36 inches ± 1.00 x 39 inches ± 1.00, with standard-thicknesses of 3/32 and 1/8 inch. Weights of the three standard-thickness sheets are approximately 7.0, and 9.3 lb., respectively. Standard finish options are polished, or P (highly polished and shiny), or LS (non-brushed and dull).

ES1

ES1 is a melamine laminate composed of a white melamine paper core and various pigmented cover sheets. The three-ply material comes in a standard sheet size of 36 inches ± 1.00 x 39 inches ± 1.00, with standard thicknesses of 1/16, 3/32, and 1/8 inch. Standard finish options are polished, or P (highly polished and shiny), and Lamicoid satin, or LS (non-brushed and dull).

NP615

Room temperature punching and shearing grade up to 0.125″ thick. NP615 is more flexible with lower mechanical properties than NP611. NP615 is produced with high resin content melamine impregnated surfaces to give the resulting laminate better arc resistance. Intended for applications where electrical and moisture requirements are secondary.

P95

NP318U

Post-forming canvas phenolic material. NP318U’s mechanical and electrical properties are similar to NP310E. It is made from a cotton fabric weighing more than 4 ounces per square yard and having a thread count of not more than 70 threads per inch in both the warp and filler directions. The binder is a modified phenolic resin system, which permits the material to be heated, formed into a shape and cooled under restraint to hold the newly formed shape.

GSCE

GSCE is constructed from a woven cotton fabric with a phenolic resin binder. GSCE is intended for mechanical applications requiring high impact strength. Applications include gears and bearings. It has lower mechanical strength than materials with glass substrates, but has superior impact resistance when compared to paper based products. The manufactures of GSCE has informed Norplex-Micarta that the product meets NEMA LI 1-1998 Grade CE, ANSI/NEMA IM 60000-2021 Grade CE, MIL-I-24768/14 Type FBG and ASTM D 709 Type II Grade CE.

GSC

GSC is constructed from a woven cotton fabric with a phenolic resin binder. GSC is intended for mechanical applications requiring high impact strength. Applications include gears and bearings. It has lower mechanical strength than materials with glass substrates, but has superior impact resistance when compared to paper based products. The manufactures of GSC has informed Norplex-Micarta that the product meets NEMA C, MIL-I-24768/16 and ASTM D 709 Type C.

NP324FR

NP324FR is a fine weave cotton fabric which has been bleached to remove impurities, and a modified phenolic resin with powdered PTFE added for lubrication as well as a flame retardant. It has low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. NP324FR provides excellent machining characteristics.

KHS300H

BP25NPP

BP25NPP is a fine weave cotton fabric which has been bleached to remove impurities, and a modified phenolic resin with powdered PTFE added for lubrication. It has low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. BP25NPP provides excellent machining characteristics.

BP45NPM

BP45NPM is composed of a 17 oz. aramid and "soft glass" fibers are combined to make a fabric that is stronger than pure aramid and less abrasive than glass fabrics. This material is impregnated with a high temperature phenolic resin matrix which includes a non-conducting solid lubricant. This composite has excellent mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and adverse environments. Applications include wear plates for conveyor systems, valve plates, and compressor and pump vanes.

BP21NPG

Linen phenolic laminate with graphite added as a solid lubricant. The linen substrate provides better surface to machined parts, and, more uniform wear resistance than BP11NPG.

BP11NPG

Canvas phenolic laminate with graphite added as a solid lubricant. This material has improved wear properties under certain conditions. Material is conductive to electricity and should not be used where this is detrimental to the application.

BP14NPG

Bleached canvas phenolic laminate with graphite added as a solid lubricant. This material has improved wear properties under certain conditions. Better moisture absorption and machinability than BPNPG. Material is conductive to electricity and should not be used where this is detrimental to the application.

BP21NPM

BP21NPM is composed of a linen substrate combined with a phenolic resin system which contains molybdenum disulfide for reduced wear and increased lubrication. Provides the same lubricity as BP13NPM, but has better machining qualities. The mechanical strength is similar to, but slightly less than BP21NPN. BP21NPM is used in applications where reduced wear is needed in non-conductive applications.

BP13HPM

Canvas phenolic laminate with molybdenum disulphide added as a solid lubricant. This material has improved wear properties under certain conditions. Material is semi-conductive to electricity and should no be used where this is detrimental to the application.

BP13NPM

Canvas phenolic laminate with molybdenum disulfide lubricant. The mechanical properties are slightly lower than BP11NPN. BP13NPM is used for lubricity in the composite when carbon (graphite) cannot be used because of conductivity.

BP21NPN

Fine weave (less than 4 ounce/square yard) cotton fabric commonly called linen, combined with phenolic resin to provide better machining than BP11NPN. BP21NPN should be used for smaller and more intricate shapes than BP11NPN, when a finer surface finish is required.

BP18NPA

BP11NPA is a red colored composite made from a 24 oz/sq. yd canvas which is passed through the treater twice to insure impregnation of the fibers and to obtain the resin content desired for optimal performance. The resin system is a phenolic with good impregnation qualities and cured hardness. BP11NPA is designed for highly loaded bearing applications, where the lubrication is provided by oil, water or a mixture.

BP18NPM

BP18NPM is a natural colored composite made from a 24 oz/sq. yd canvas which is passed through the treater twice to insure impregnation of the fibers and to obtain the resin content desired for optimal performance. The resin system is a molybdenum disulfide filled phenolic with good impregnation qualities and cured hardness. BP18NPM is specifically designed for highly loaded bearing applications, where the lubrication is provided by the molybdenum disulfide. It may have a slightly greenish tint in the finished laminate.

BP11HPN

Canvas machining grade for structural and mechanical applications. BP11HPN has better impact strength than phenolic paper grades.

BP81NPN

BP81NPN is a cotton phenolic composite which is specifically designed to dissipate heat better than standard cotton phenolic products. Applications include trunion wheels, wire strander rolls and pile-driver head cushions.

BP11NPN

BP11NPN is a phenolic canvas machining grade for structural and mechanical applications. It has better impact strength than phenolic paper grades.

BP11MPN

Grade BP11MPN is a medium weave cotton phenolic composite. Typical applications include pintle and stave-type bearings for rudder shafts in the marine industry. This material is known industry wide as “Marine Micarta.” This product is also suitable for heavy equipment applications that require finer machining profiles than those provided by bearing-grade laminates.

BP12NPN

Fine weave canvas phenolic material with fabric construction weight intermediate to BP11NPN and BP21NPN. BP12NPN is designed for better machining than grade BP11NPN and lower cost than BP21NPN.

NP324

NP324 is a fine weave cotton fabric which has been bleached to remove impurities, and a modified phenolic resin with powdered PTFE added for lubrication. It has low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. NP324 provides excellent machining characteristics.

KHS300L

NP342LS

Fine weave canvas phenolic engineered for dimensional stability and mechanical strength at temperatures as high as 125ºC. Providing excellent moisture resistance and easy to machine, NP342LS low-shrink material was designed for use in Class B generators for wedge applications and can be tested to the General Electric specification A50A341.

NP342

Fine weave canvas phenolic material with fabric construction weight intermediate to NP310 and NP320. NP342 is designed for better machining than grade NP310 and lower cost than NP320. NP342 meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-24768/16 and IEC-60893-4-PF CC 201.

NP338

NP338 is a combination of two Norplex-Micarta grades, NP310 which is a canvas phenolic, on one side of the laminate, and NP315, a canvas phenolic with graphite added as a solid lubricant on the other side of the laminate. NP338 is ideal for applications requiring high impact strength and low coefficient of friction such as railway couplers. Material is conductive to electricity and should not be used where conductivity is detrimental to the application.

NP325

Linen phenolic laminate with graphite added as a solid lubricant. The linen substrate provides better surface to machined parts, and, more uniform wear resistance than NP315.

NP322

NP322 is composed of a linen substrate combined with a phenolic resin system which contains molybdenum disulfide for reduced wear and increased lubrication. Provides the same lubricity as NP313, but has better machining qualities. The mechanical strength is similar to, but slightly less than NP320. NP322 is used in applications where reduced wear is needed in non-conductive applications.

NP320U

Utility version of NP320E. Meets most, but not all, NEMA properties for L and LE, and is not certifiable as a NEMA Grade.

NP320E

Similar to NP320 with improved moisture resistance. It is suitable for electrical applications in moderate humidity conditions. NP320E meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-24768/13 and ASTM F2953-12 Type FB. Certification to IEC standard is pending.

NP320

Fine weave (less than 4 ounce/square yard) cotton fabric commonly called linen, combined with phenolic resin to provide better machining than NP310. NP320 should be used for smaller and more intricate shapes than NP310, when a finer surface finish is required. NP320 meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-24768/15 and IEC-60893-4-PF CC 203.

NP319

Bleached canvas phenolic laminate with graphite added as a solid lubricant. This material has improved wear properties under certain conditions. NP313

Canvas phenolic laminate with molybdenum disulfide lubricant. The mechanical properties are slightly lower than NP310. NP313 is used for lubricity in the composite when carbon (graphite) cannot be used because of conductivity.

NP310U

Utility grade canvas phenolic with properties similar to NP310E. Not certifiable to NEMA due to low crosswise flexural strength.

NP310HT

Canvas machining grade for structural and mechanical applications. NP310HT has better impact strength than phenolic paper grades. It meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/16, IEC-60893-4-PF CC 201 and is designed to meet GE specification A19B15B1.

NP310E

Manufactured with a cotton fabric and phenolic resin, NP310E is easy to machine and possesses lower moisture absorption and enhanced electrical properties. NP310E meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-24768/14.

NP310BW

NP310BW is a cotton phenolic composite which is specifically designed to dissipate heat better than standard cotton phenolic products. Applications include trunion wheels, wire strander rolls and pile-driver head cushions.

NP310

MC330

MC330 is a cotton cloth/phenolic resin composite which is specially processed to be used in cryogenic applications. Such applications include spacers for installation of liquid oxygen apparatus where temperatures are as low as minus 320° F.

Grade MC320LE is a fine weave bleached cotton phenolic composite that has excellent machining characteristics and low moisture absorption. Applications include marine applications, terminal boards and parts requiring medium strength and excellent electrical characteristics. MC223

Grade MC223 is a medium weave cotton phenolic composite. Typical applications include pintle and stave-type bearings for rudder shafts in the marine industry. This material is known industry wide as “Marine Micarta.” This product is also suitable for heavy equipment applications that require finer machining profiles than those provided by bearing-grade laminates.

BR70

BR70 is a red colored composite made from a 24 oz/sq. yd canvas which is passed through the treater twice to insure impregnation of the fibers and to obtain the resin content desired for optimal performance. The resin system is a phenolic with good impregnation qualities and cured hardness. BR70 is designed for highly loaded bearing applications, where the lubrication is provided by oil, water or a mixture.

BR60

BR60 is a black colored composite made from a 24 oz/sq. yd canvas which is passed through the treater twice to insure impregnation of the fibers and to obtain the resin content desired for optimal performance. The resin system is a molybdenum disulfide filled phenolic with good impregnation qualities and cured hardness. BR60 is specifically designed for highly loaded bearing applications, where the lubrication is provided by the molybdenum disulfide. It may have a slightly greenish tint in the finished laminate.

NP504WR

NP504WR is a phenolic resin combined with a heavy weight glass fabric, 24 or 30 oz depending on the application and machining requirements. NP504WR is designed for structural applications.

NP634

MC514MG is a glass phenolic, semi-conductive laminate which was designed for corona discharge in the power generation industry. ES3 consists of a black phenolic paper core and two colored decorative surfaces impregnated with melamine resin. NP664
