RT130 (NEMA FR-4) is a tubular thermoset composite material consisting of medium weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with a flame retardant epoxy resin system. RT130 meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/27*, Type GEE-F. It is designed for high electrical and mechanical strength, as well as flame resistance. This composite tubing product is suitable for cams, inserts, bushings, gaskets, rings, collars, sleeves, spacers, insulators, timing wheels, light duty gears, and laser housings.           

*Customer is responsible for providing an approved Military Print for certification or testing to the MIL-I-24768/27 specification.




RT130M (NEMA FR-4) thermoset composite tubing consists of a medium weave glass fabric combined with a flame retardant epoxy resin system. RT130M meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/27*, Type GEE-F. RT130M is designed for electrical and mechanical strength, as well as flame retardance. RT130M is suitable for cams, inserts, bushings, gaskets, rings, collars, sleeves, spacers, insulators, timing wheels, light duty gears, and laser housings.

RT130X (NEMA FR-4) thermoset composite tubing consists of a fine weave glass fabric combined with a flame retardant epoxy resin system.  RT130X meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/27*, Type GEE-F.  It is designed for electrical and mechanical strength as well as flame retardance.  Typical applications for RT130X include bushings, spacers and other structural parts that require excellent machining characterisitics.

RT310 (NEMA C) is a composite composed of a medium weave cotton reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RT310 meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/16, Type FBM. RT310 is designed for electrical and mechanical applications and is suitable for, gaskets, flanges, rings, collars, sleeves, pillow blocks, brake lining, timing wheels, light duty gears, journal and other bearing applications, and thrust washers. For increased dimensional stability, the grade is also offered in two heat treated versions, in an oven (H) or in oil (S), which improves the moisture resistance.


RT315 is composed of a medium weave cotton reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system, enhanced with a self-lubricating graphite powder modifier. The mechanical properties are similar to NEMA C. RT315 is designed for a variety of applications, including cams, gaskets, flanges, rings, collars, sleeves, pillow blocks, brake lining, timing wheels, light duty gears, journal and other bearing applications, and thrust washers. It is not recommended for electrical applications.


RT325 is composed of a fine weave cotton reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system enhanced with a self lubricating graphite modifier. With mechanical properties similar to NEMA LE. RT325 is suitable for a variety of mechanical applications, but should not be used in electrical applications except as a static drain material, as it has the potential to be a conductor of electricity. NP325 is suitable for cams, gaskets, rings, collars, sleeves, brake lining, timing wheels, hydraulic rings, light duty gears, bearing retainers, thrust washers, and bearings.


RT342 (NEMA C) is composed of a medium fine weave cotton fabric reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RT342 complies with the requirements of MIL-I-24768/16, Type FBM, and is designed for low voltage electrical and mechanical applications that require better machining than RT310. RT342 is suitable for cams, gaskets, flanges, rings, collars, sleeves, pillow blocks, brake lining, timing wheels, light duty gears, journal and other bearing applications, and thrust washers.


RT500 (NEMA G-10) is a tube produced from a coarse weave woven glass fabric reinforcement combined with a epoxy resin system. This fiberglass tube meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEE, and is designed for demanding electrical and mechanical applications, including cams, rings, collars, inserts, bushings, cryogenic beakers, flasks or tanks, spacers, insulators, timing wheels, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, laser housings, light duty gears, and fluid and gas transfer.


RT500F (NEMA G-10) is a composite tube produced from a fine weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with an epoxy resin system. RT500F meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEE. RT500F is designed for demanding electrical and mechanical applications that require fine machining, including rings, collars, inserts, bushings, cryogenic beakers, flasks, or tanks, spacers, insulators, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, and fluid and gas transfer.


RT500M (NEMA G-10) is composite tube produced from a medium weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with an epoxy resin system. RT500M meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEE. RT500 is designed for demanding electrical and mechanical applications, including cams, rings, collars, inserts, bushings, cryogenic beakers, flasks or tanks, spacers, insulators, timing wheels, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, laser housings, light duty gears, and fluid and gas transfer.


RT500X (NEMA G-10) is a composite tube produced from an extra fine weave (light weight) glass reinforcement combined with an epoxy resin system. RT500X meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEE and is designed for demanding electrical and mechanical applications that require fine machining. RT500X is suitable for rings, collars, inserts, bushings, cryogenic beakers, flasks or tanks, spacers, insulators, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, and fluid and gas transfer piping and gaskets.


RT504 is composed of medium weight glass reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RT504 has properties similar to NEMA G-3 and MIL-I-24768/18, Type GPG materials (Although listed, there are no requirements). RT504 offers good mechanical strength and high temperature resistance, and is suitable for rings, collars, spacers, inserts, bushings, insulators, and tailstock.


RT504F is composed of a fine weave glass reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RT504F has properties similar to NEMA G-3 and MIL-I-24768/18, Type GPG materials (Although listed, there are no requirements). It is designed for high mechanical strength and temperature resistance in applications that require fine machining. RT504F is suitable for rings, collars, spacers, inserts, bushings, insulators, and tailstock.


RT505 (NEMA G-5) is composed of a medium weight glass reinforcement combined with a melamine resin system. It meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/8, Type GMG. RT505 is designed for the presence of arc and flame in electrical applications. It is an environmentally sensitive product, and should not be used in areas of high humidity. It is suitable for rings, collars, inserts, spacers, bushings, insulators, and fuse casings.


RT505F (NEMA G-5) is manufactured using fine weave glass reinforcement combined with a melamine resin system. It meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/8, Type GMG. RT505F is designed for the presence of arc and flame in electrical applications. It is an environmentally sensitive product, and should not be used in areas of high humidity.


RT507 (NEMA G-7) is composed of a medium weight glass reinforcement combined with a silicone resin system. It meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/17, Type GSG. RT507 is designed for exposure to arc, flame, or excessive heat in electrical applications, including rings, collars, spacers, inserts, bushings, insulators, brake liners, and welding tips.


RT507F (NEMA G-7) is composed of fine weave woven glass reinforcement combined with a silicone resin system. RT507 meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/17, Type GSG. The product is designed for exposure to arc, flame, or excessive heat in electrical applications that require fine machining. RT507F is suitable for rings, collars, inserts, spacers, bushings, insulators, and welding tips.


RT507L (NEMA G-7) is composed of fine weave woven glass reinforcement combined with a silicone resin system. RT507L meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/17, Type GSG. The product is designed for exposure to arc, flame, or excessive heat in electrical applications that require fine machining. RT507L is suitable for rings, collars, inserts, spacers, bushings, insulators, and welding tips. All of the RT507L tubes are individually tested for leaks and are guaranteed leak proof.


RT509 (NEMA G-9) is composed of medium weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with a melamine resin system. It complies with MIL-I-24768/1, Type GME requirements. RT509 is designed for exposure to arc and flame in electrical applications, and is suitable for inserts, bushings, rings, collars, spacers, insulators, and fuse casings.


RT509F (NEMA G-9) is manufactured using fine weave glass reinforcement combined with a melamine resin system. It meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/1, Type GME. RT509F is designed for exposure to arc and flame in electrical applications. It is an environmentally sensitive product, and should not be used in areas of high humidity. It is suitable for applications including inserts, bushings, rings, collars, spacers, insulators, and fuse casings.


RT511 is manufactured using a course weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with a high temperature epoxy resin system. It meets the requirements of NEMA G-10, MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEB, with the added feature of having excellent strength at elevated temperatures. Typical applications include bushings, spacers, and structural parts for power generation equipment.


RT511F is composed of fine weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with a high temperature epoxy resin system. With properties similar to NEMA G-10 and MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEB materials, RT511F is designed for high electrical and mechanical strength in applications that require fine machining. It also maintains more than 50% of its original strength at 150°C. RT511F is suitable for inserts, rings, collars, bushings, cryogenic breakers, flasks or tanks, spacers, insulators, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, and fluid and gas transfer.


RT511M is composed of medium weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with a high temperature epoxy resin system. With properties similar to NEMA G-10 and MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEB materials, RT511M is designed for high electrical and mechanical strength and maintains most of its original strength at 150°C. RT511M is suitable for cams, inserts, rings, collars, bushings, beakers, spacers, insulators, light duty gears, timing wheels, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, laser housings, and fluid and gas transfer.


RT520M (NEMA G-10) is composite tube produced from a medium weave glass fabric reinforcement combined with an epoxy resin system. RT520M meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEE. RT520 is designed for demanding electrical and mechanical applications, including cams, rings, collars, inserts, bushings, cryogenic beakers, flasks or tanks, spacers, insulators, timing wheels, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, laser housings, light duty gears, and fluid and gas transfer.


RT520X (NEMA G-10) is a composite tube produced from an extra fine weave (light weight) glass reinforcement combined with an epoxy resin system. RT520X meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/2, Type GEE and is designed for demanding electrical and mechanical applications that require fine machining. RT520X is suitable for rings, collars, inserts, bushings, cryogenic beakers, flasks or tanks, spacers, insulators, neck tubes, rotor sleeves, and fluid and gas transfer piping and gaskets.


RT521M (NEMA G-10) combines excellent electrical characteristics with good physical characteristics including excellent electrical properties maintained in high humidity conditions. This tube meets NEMA G-10 requirements using a non-brominated resin system, for round rolled tube, and has been produced using acceptable components, to the NIST G10CR process specification for materials used in cryogenic applications.


RT571 (NEMA G-10) is simular to RT511 using a heavy weave glass fabric substrate.  It has excellent strength at elevated temperatures but has been formulated to faciliate the production of thick walled tubes (up to 4 times thicker than RT511).


RT610 (NEMA X) is composed of paper reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RT610 complies with MIL-I-24768/12, Type PBM requirements, and is designed for general purpose mechanical applications. This environmentally sensitive product is not recommended for high humidity conditions, but is suitable for inserts, bushings, gaskets, washers, rollers, collars, spacers, sleeves, insulators, guide tubes, and processing rollers.


RT628 (NEMA XX) is an improved machining grade meeting NEMA XX and MIL-I-24768/11, Type PBG for tubes. It has low moisture absorption and good dimensional stability. Typical applications are as a replacement for RT629 where improved machining characteristics are needed. The primary application is in transformers.


RT629 (NEMA XX) is composed of paper reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RT629 meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/11, Type PBG and is designed for electrical and mechanical applications. RT629 is suitable for inserts, bushings, washers, rollers, collars, spacers, sleeves, guide tubes, and processing rollers.


RT630 (NEMA XXX) is composed of cellulosic paper reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RT630 meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/10, Type PBE, and is designed for electrical and mechanical applications. RT630 is suitable for inserts, bushings, washers, rollers, spacers, insulators, rotor sleeves, guide tubes, and processing rollers.


RTB320 (NEMA LE) is composed of fine weave cotton cloth reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. RTB320 meets the requirements of MIL-I-24768/13, Type FBE and is designed for electrical and mechanical applications that require fine machining. RTB320 offers low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability. It is suitable for cams, gaskets, rings, collars, sleeves, brake lining, timing wheels, and hydraulic rings, light duty gears, bearing retainers, bearings, and thrust washers. A variation of this grade comes heat treated in an oven (H) for increased dimensional stability.


RTB320D is a convolute rolled tube that is composed of a fine weave cotton fabric reinforcement combined with a phenolic resin system. This product is a 'pure' black material as opposed to the normal LE black, which tends to be gray. RTB320D can be used for decorative applications where the deep black color is required, but also can be used in electrical and mechanical applications.


RTB320X (NEMA LE) is composed of an extra fine woven cotton fabric and of a phenolic resin system. The extra-fine weave fabric enables cleaner machining (less exposed fiber) in all relevant applications. It is a superior machining grade with very good electrical properties. RTB320X was developed specifically for the manufacture of bearing cages (ball bearing retainer rings).


RTB320Z (NEMA LE) is composed of an extra fine weave woven cotton fabric with a phenolic resin system. While being similar to RTB 320X, enhanced machining characteristics are achieved by increasing the density of the manufactured tubes. Typical applications include retainer rings for ball bearings.


RTB324 is composed of a PTFE modified phenolic resin system combined with bleached fine weave cotton fabric reinforcement. With properties similar to NEMA LE and MIL-I-24768/13, Type FBE materials, RTB324 is suitable for electrical and mechanical applications that require fine machining. RTB324 is suitable for the manufacture of cams, gaskets, rings, collars, sleeves, brake lining, timing wheels, hydraulic rings, light duty gears, bearing retainers, bearings, and thrust washers.


RTB326 is a composite of a bleached, fine weave cotton reinforcement combined with an epoxy resin system. With properties similar to NEMA LE and MIL-I-24768/13, Type FBE, but using an epoxy resin instead of the proscribed phenolic resin, RTB326 is designed for electrical and mechanical applications that require fine machining. RTB326 is suitable for the manufacture of cams, gaskets, rings, collars, sleeves, timing wheels, hydraulic rings, light duty gears, and thrust washers and bearings.


RTB329 is composed of a bleached linen fabric combined with a white melamine resin system. It is designed to have the appearance of ivory in decorative applications. It has good machining characteristics and can be polished to a high gloss.
